I am once again participating in the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival! An Artist And The Ember, written by fellow Ball State alum Evan Cullinan, will have five performances throughout February. Be sure to check it out: https://www.cmtf.org/an-artist-and-the-ember
I'm super excited to be announcing my first appearance on NBC's CHICAGO FIRE! I'll be making a brief cameo at the end of episode 19, set to air Thursday April 19 at 10/9c. Filming was such a blast! I certainly hope it was not the last but for now we'll just have to enjoy this one while I work on booking more!
My co-star Yuri Sardarov (Otis) was the nicest guy and made the whole experience easy and fun!
CHRISTMAS! It's just around the corner, and so are all the holiday shows! A WONDERFUL LIFE THE MUSICAL is just days away from opening at Theatre at the Center where I will be appearing as everyone's favorite blonde, Violet! And soon I will be starting rehearsals for TATC's TYA show 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
If that's not enough, I'm gearing up for a one night concert performance of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD in early December, produced by the newly founded Blank Theatre Company. This is a favorite show of mine and I'm looking forward to performing alongside some stunning Chicago talent.
For the holiday shows, follow the link up top! Ticket info for SONGS... will be coming soon!
Well, we just started week two of The Tin Woman at Theatre at the Center after an exhilarating opening weekend! This is the smallest professional show I've been a part of (only a six person cast) and also my first all-female design team! This heart-warming show is not to be missed. Tickets can be purchased here.
MAMMA MIA! Round Two!
I am so excited to get a second crack at this beloved show. And at The Marriott Theatre no less! I was born and raised just a short drive from the Marriott Theatre and it has been a life long dream to perform here. We just had our first preview show last night and I can now say that dream is a reality!!! Come on over to Lincolnshire and join us in all the fun! Tickets available at www.marriotttheatre.com!
Next up: The Little Mermaid at The Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL. I'm back to the ease of one show at a time! Of course as Female Swing I am responsible for seven different tracks! Can't say I don't love a challenge. MAMMA MIA won't be opening until mid-September but tickets are already on sale at http://paramountaurora.com
It's looking to be a wonderful back end of 2016!!!
It was a busy spring for me! Here's what you missed...
NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT enjoyed a hugely successful run! The production was Jeff-nominated and many Theatre at the Center subscribers were overheard saying it was "the best one yet!"
I had the extreme pleasure of performing as back-up dancer for "Weird Al" Yankovic at RiverEdge Park in Aurora, IL. The concert was part of his "The Return of The Mandatory World Tour" that is traveling all over the country. I've been a fan of Weird Al since I was young. It was a dream meeting and working with him! His crew and band were equally charming!
It's also been a busy audition season for me. Some upcoming projects are in the works. Keep checking back for some exciting announcements soon!
I went on vacation to Vermont for a family wedding. While there I learned to french-braid (finally!) and juggle! I'm still an amateur but it's a skill in progress!
I am thrilled to say that as of yesterday I am now being represented by Gray Talent Group! This diverse agency covers theatre, film, commercial, voice over, etc. I'm excited to dive in and see where it all leads. Check them out at www.GrayTalentGroup.com
I am proud to present my first professional commercial! It was a blast to work alongside the Norman Brothers Productions team and of course Coach McCarthy. I will always be a Bears fan. But the Coach was such a fun scene partner, I must admit I have a soft spot for the Packers now. Shhh! Don't tell anyone! Anyway... enjoy!
I'm diving into rehearsals for my next project this Monday. What better way to celebrate Christmas with the family than to take a ride on the Polar Express?! That's right!! I'll be serving up some hot chocolate and sweet melodies on this hour-long train ride throughout downtown Chicago. The Polar Express takes numerous trips every day starting Saturday December 19 and going through January 3. For more information follow this link: https://www.chicagothepolarexpressride.com
As of this Sunday, SPAMALOT at Theatre at the Center is officially open! As an ensemble member I get to tap, swing some maces, and even do some cheerleading! TATC hosted an opening night reception filled with friends and laughter. But there was still time for a quick photo shoot. Here I am with my fellow ladies of the cast! SPAMALOT runs through October 18. Click the link for tickets. www.theatreatthecenter.com
ALL SHOOK UP had a fantastic closing week with every performance sold out! And only a week after closing, we have received news that Danny Herman has been nominated for Best Choreography! The Jeff Awards will be held Monday October 5. Until then, the cast and crew are celebrating Danny and this great recognition. See you at the ceremony!
In other news, I am gearing up for SPAMALOT rehearsals, set to begin Monday August 30. Tickets are already available for purchase at www.theatreatthecenter.com!
